“Rachel makes everything happen. Our wedding was atypical, cultural, and complicated – something no planner has done yet in France, except now Rachel. We say that with confidence as it was four different weddings over the span of three days.”

There is nothing like an incredible phone call to change the direction of your business. In 2003, I got a such a call from the West Coast of the United States from the publisher of a regional bridal magazine. “Can you arrange my wedding at the Hotel Meurice on April Fool’s Day?” No, this was no prank call, but in fact a real wedding for 25 guests. After 14 years of living together, this couple was tying the knot and what better place than Paris to make this happen.

It was a good time to travel—since France had refused to join the Iraq conflict, and was still smarting from “freedom fries” being served to the US Congress, air fares were at an all-time low. “Of course,” I replied without a second thought. Not only did I organize this event in less than three weeks, I found an award-winning photographer to do the photos when the bride’s Seattle-based photographer cancelled just before the plane.

While it took some convincing to get the hotel to let us use its magnificent Pompadour reception room free of charge, and to go along with an April Fool’s Day menu, some free publicity in the bridal magazine sweetened the deal and everyone had a fabulous time.

Fast forward summer 2008. One of my English-speaking guides told me to go into the destination wedding business, noting that celebrants and wedding certificates were in great demand, even for two people wishing to elope or renew their vows. Thus Ooh la la! France Wedding Planner was born.

Whether you are planning a proposal, an elopement, a wedding, a vow renewal, or a prenuptial trip, our aim is to make your event one of the most beautiful and memorable occasions in your life.

My weddings have now been featured in Seattle and Minneapolis Bride, Junebug Weddings and Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, and range from elopements for two with a celebrant and all the trimmings, to a major wedding on the French Riviera with 180 guests. We arrange weddings for people from all over the world, as far away as Australia and New Zealand, as well as Norway, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, the USA and Canada, even Latin America.

I am still able to make the impossible possible, such as creating a wedding for 18 guests from Saudi Arabia in three days, that included the purchase of a custom-made bridal gown and hiring a private yacht on the Seine. If you want to propose to your future fiancée in Versailles’ Hall of Mirrors after hours, I can make that happen.

If you want Cinderella’s coach to take you and your beloved to the wedding ceremony, it’s not only possible, but you can be filmed riding around Paris in January. We’ve done it.

If you want to arrange a wedding dinner on a terrace overlooking the Eiffel Tower and the Arch of Triumph, with music and dancing until 1 am in the morning, I ‘ll make this happen with ease and style.

My team is driven by a sense of commitment and passion—the same that you bring to your wedding event and everything else in your life. From the moment you contact Ooh la la! France Wedding Planner, you will be in touch with staff who will take your requests very seriously and whom you can entrust with the smallest detail.

Our aim is to work closely with you to determine and refine your wedding priorities starting with the ceremony and the venue, and continuing with the reception, the décor, the menu, as well as the entertainment, photography, videography, and more. As co-creators of your event, we help you set up a planning schedule for your wedding count-down and keep you in the loop every step of the way. This is so important when you are planning a destination wedding.

We look forward to learning how Ooh la la! France Wedding Planner can best address your needs and those of your guests. Our goal is to take the utmost care with every facet of your event – so you feel that Paris and the rest of France have extended a warm and friendly embrace.
